 Occupation: Hairdresser  (Because of her absurd hair growth, Bernie spent a lot of time at the hairdresser's growing up.  From an early age she fell in love with the atmosphere of a salon, how everyone there was friends instantly, and how anyone, no matter how they felt about themselves, left feeling beautiful. Bernie wants, more than anything, to make those around her feel beautiful.)
 Special Skills: High dexterity, makes friends easily.
 Family: Two older brothers, mother.
 Background:  Mixed African- and Latin-American  (mother is Salvadoran, father is from outside Detroit)

 Hair Color: Naturally platinum blond.  (All bearers of the Coma Berenice starseed, awakened or not, have smooth platinum blond hair, regardless of any other genetic factors.)

 Sexuality: Pansexual.  Bernie likes beautiful things.  She has a preference for partners with a feminine mien/aspect, but will go for a butch fella if other conditions are right.
 Personality: Bernie has a breezy personality.   To outsiders, she rarely appears to take anything seriously.  And, truthfully, for the most part she doesn’t.  If she cannot control or change something, she ignores it (why waste energy on something you cannot change?)  She’s not a very precise person, especially when it comes to punctuality.  Breeziness aside, once friends with a person, she will move Heaven and Earth to help them . . . though she’ll do it in a roundabout way. 
Availability? Taken.  As of late summer Year 1, Bernie is in an exclusive relationship with Sailor Camelopardalis/Sade (Jyinxe).  Prior to this she was in an open relationship with Sailor Dorado/Moni (nickyflamingo)

Profile:
Bernie has a very high social intelligence.  Like all the best hairstylists, Bernie's easy to get along with and always ready to lend a sympathetic ear.  While very outgoing and energetic herself, her time working in spas and salons has taught her to be quick to pick up on other people's vibes, so she dials it down fast if that's what someone needs.

She loves fashion and beauty (obviously) and will energetically offer makeovers and style advice on anyone who shows even a slight interest.  (And makeovers too!  Even suggest that you might want to try something new and she will whip out her kit.)

Bernie is clever, but not in a tutored sort of way.  She tends to improvise her way out of trouble, often relying on her social skills and charm to see her through.   She did poorly in school, but reads voraciously, especially about travel and fashion.  People with more serious personalities or heavy-duty introverts would likely find her annoying or think her lacking in substance.

 Likely activities on a day off: Scouring second-hand bookshops for books on travel and fashion, visiting gallery openings (the more free wine, the better), doing her friends’ hair, playing with her landlord’s cat, helping relatives with housework.

Abilities:

 Heaven's Scourge: Berenice's hair extends and binds together in a whip-like shape near each hand (see first ref below).  Berenice strikes at her enemies with these.  Because of her hair's growth abilities, this is a close- to mid-range attack.  Damage is magically enhanced.
 Berenice's Boon: Berenice passes her hand over her scalp from forehead to nape and sheds the entire length of her hair.  Her cut hair forms a glowing sheet (like a net) that she can then throw over herself or others to protect them from attack.  The longer her hair, the denser or larger she can make the net.
 *UNLOCKED BY TASK 11* Heaven's Embrace: Sailor Coma Berenices’ hair forms a temporary full suit of armor. Sailor Coma Berenices receives temporary buffs to defense and physical attack stats. Armor is strong against most magic as well as blunt or slicing physical attacks. Armor is weak to stabbing attacks and fire.  

 Innate:  Berenice's hair can grow to absurd lengths at great speed while she is in senshi form.  This does have a limit, but it is in the 10s of yards. 
 Innate Ability side effect: when de-transforming, Berenice's hair will be longer than it was when she transformed, though it will not be as absurdly long.  In civilian form her hair grows unusually fast.  We’re talking weekly haircuts fast.
